The Aust. Gov. is offering a one-off payment for those affected by acts of terrorism overseas.
A primary victim, who was harmed as a direct result of a declared terrorist event, has two years from the date of the declaration by the Prime Minister to make a claim. A secondary victim – a close family member of a person who died as a direct result of a terrorist event – must lodge within 12 months of the death of a close family member.
