Accessible Arts is celebrating International Day of People with Disability with the world premiere of ArtScreen 2022, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
The presentation will be screening December 3-4 and features new works from professional artists Dani Pearce and Demon Derriere. These unique works aim to broaden engagement with the distinctive insights and skills of artists with disability or who are d/Deaf. ArtScreen empowers these artists to make an important contribution to the diversity of cultural expression.
“These compelling works make an important contribution to the diversity of cultural expression in Sydney,” Accessible Arts CEO Liz Martin said. “Previous ArtScreen work has gone on to be further developed and selected for the Cannes Short Film Festival Independent Film category. We are extremely proud of this program and the opportunities it has created for the artists selected, as well as the audiences who are able to view and engage with the video artworks being created.”
This is a free and accessible event. All artworks will be screened with closed captioning, audio description and Auslan interpreting.
