If you would like to know more about how to travel on Victoria’s public transport system, both Metro Trains and V/Line offer sessions designed to help commuters feel more comfortable getting from A to B.

This month, Public Transport Victoria will hold a session at Geelong Station where commuters can experience various modes of transport, including:

  • a V/Line V/Locity Train
  • an Accessible Coach, and
  • a Wheelchair-Accessible Taxi.

Travellers Aid will be present as well to provide assistance and information about their services for patrons.

These sessions are ideal for people with accessibility needs.

The next event will be held on Thursday 28 November, from 1pm-3pm. More information is available on the Public Transport Victoria website.

Additionally, Metro Trains offers Rail Safety and Awareness Sessions free for people with disability.

Metro’s education sessions are delivered in-house at venues or community centres. The service also offers Travel Training sessions, which give commuters an opportunity to explore Metro’s train network with support from staff.

All sessions are available from Monday to Thursday, and more information can be found on the Metro Trains website.
