We can see a woman's ear. She is pointing to and touching a blue hearing aid in her ear.

Deafblind Australia is interested in hearing from Deafblind people about their experiences with accessing information, advice and support.

This comes as the Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS) gathers feedback from people with disabilities about “Foundational Supports,” new services being introduced outside the NDIS across all states and territories. DSS wants to hear where people with disabilities go to find information and learn new skills, like attending peer groups or using websites.

Deafblind Australia has created a video to help explain what DSS wants and how you can get involved.

Deafblind Australia will then use this information to tell DSS what Deafblind people need and how to make services and information accessible.

You can share your feedback by:

– Commenting on the video

– Messaging the DBA Facebook page

– Emailing your answers to ben.mcatamney@deafblindaustralia.org.au

Or, if you’d prefer a 1:1 Zoom session, email to arrange a time before 15th November.
