A communications tool that allows people with hearing disabilities to share information has been released in Japan. Fujitsu Software LiveTalk recognises a speaker’s speech, immediately converts it into text and displays it on multiple PC screens so the hearing-impaired can share information in real time.
The software enables smooth two-way communication with built-in functions for text input and stamp tools from PCs and can also be used on tablets. According to Fujitsu LiveTalk suits situations where multiple people share information such as classroom settings and meetings.
Fujitsu Australia told F2L there are no plans to introduce this feature to Fujitsu products available in Australia.
