This year’s Australian Assistive Technology Conference is not to be missed. Organised by the Australian Rehabilitation & Assistive Technology Association (ARATA), it takes place at Jupiters Casino, Gold Coast from July 27-29. The three day event, which is free to attend, includes a diverse range of interactive and educational sessions that will explore current practice in the AT sector. These are in addition to workshops and panel discussions.
Keynote speakers are Dr Rosemary Gowran (pictured) from the University of Limerick, Ireland a lecturer in occupational therapy, and physical therapist, Linda Elsaesser. The speakers list includes Dr Lloyd Walker, a director of assistive technology at the National Disability Insurance Agency and Corey Irlam, aged care reform policy manager for COTA Australia.
The event is of special interest to allied health professionals, researchers and educators, policy makers and other stakeholders, as well as students.
