Griffith University is holding a ‘Housing for People with Disability’ NDIS Symposium on August 8. Key questions to be addressed at the symposium are: “what does inclusion look like and what needs to happen now?”
Delegates will hear about recent research from the university, National Shelter and Queenslanders with Disability Network. The Network will launch a position statement on a plan of action that will be presented to the State and Federal Governments. The Queensland Department of Housing is currently developing a housing strategy and the Minister for Housing, Michael de Brenni will open the event. Other speakers include NDIA chairman, Bruce Bonyhady, Queenslanders with Disability Network chair, Nigel Webb and National Shelter executive officer, Adrian Pisarski.
The symposium will be held on August 8, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Plaza Level.
