The Federal Government is reviewing the MyPlace claims portal following disruptions to payment services. Assistant Disability Services Minister, Jane Prentice, said the ICT systems were designed and built to specifications agreed to with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
A spokesperson for the NDIA told F2L matters relating to data migration from the old to the new platform has resulted in payment delays to some providers and participants. However, these issues have been progressively resolved and payment processing is now occurring successfully. It followed the introduction of a new ICT platform to support the NDIS scaling up to deliver support from 30,000 to 460,000 people over the next three years.
Minister for Social Services, Christian Porter, said while the government has been assured the central issues have been resolved, it is appropriate that a full review is conducted to determine how and why the problems arose “so we can be confident that they will not reoccur”. The review is expected to be completed by the end of August.
Participants and providers requiring assistance navigating the portal or scheme can contact the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
