Disability Employment Australia Conference – Perth

This conference is for managers, practitioners, academics and those working within the Disability Employment Services (DES) sector.

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Disability Discrimination Commissioner, Dr Ben Gauntlett, who will discuss why disability policy and practice is moving to a person-centred, choice and control model. Another keynote will be given by  occupational therapist and founder of CORD, Jocelyn Franciscus and  executive director of People with Disabilities WA, Samantha Jenkinson, who will speak about the changing policy environment and current advocacy. There will also be 17 breakout sessions covering the latest sector developments.

On day two, four major WA employers will discuss how they built diversity and inclusion into their companies working alongside DES.
