Australians looking for a diverse job are being encouraged to consider care and support as a new recruitment campaign rolls out nationally. The sector that includes disability, aged care and veterans’ support, is one of the fastest growing in Australia.
NDIS Minister Linda Reynolds said A Life Changing Life campaign shines a light on the varied and sustainable job opportunities care and support offers and the sector is now hiring.
“The NDIS alone will need an additional 83,000 workers in the coming years as the scheme matures with thousands of jobs are available in metropolitan, regional and remote areas,” the minister said.
The campaign is part of Australia’s Care and Support Workforce Package, announced in the 2020-21 Budget to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the care and support sector.
