Assistive Technology Australia is offering three scholarships for people with disabilities to undertake the 10165NAT Certificate IV in Assistive Technology Mentoring that commences online in November 2020.

The scholarships are especially targeting people with disability from rural NSW, but others are welcome to apply. Each scholarship is worth $8.500 with training delivered over approximately 23 training days within a 12-month period.

Assistive Technology Mentors assist and support people with disabilities or carers to make informed choices about their AT and home modification needs.

People with disability for example will be qualified to work in sales and customer services. “It is a good opportunity to enter a growing, in demand workforce,” AT Australia CEO, Robyn Chapman told F2L. “There is no other training course like this anywhere,” she said. According to Chapman, Covid-19 has resulted in a huge demand for courses from people in Australia and New Zealand.

To apply for the scholarship send a CV and a covering letter outlining your interest to: Robyn Chapman CEO via mgmteam@at-aust.org .

Applications must be received by October 12, 2020. A short list of applicants will then be interviewed prior to selection. The course is due to commence on November 26, 2020 via Zoom.
