A new conference focused on brain injury will bring together people with lived experience, experts and professionals to discuss the latest research, rehabilitation and more.

The Traumatic Brain Injury Conference NZ will take place from 12-13 March 2025 at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre and has been organised by Interpoint Events in association with Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust.

A key theme will be how to enhance people’s lives through new ideas.

The event will be headlined by international keynote speaker Holly Kostrzewski, who has lived experience after sustaining a traumatic brain injury at the age of 18. Kostrzewski works in road crash prevention and is also the founder of HUGS: Helmet Use and Grab your Seatbelt, an education and prevention program for children.

Kostrzewski will share the challenges she has faced since sustaining her injury, as well as how she overcame these to succeed and the journey she and her family have been on.

Over 200 delegates, including researchers, clinicians, allied health professionals, service providers, academics and policymakers, are expected to attend the event.

Registration details are coming soon; find out more on the conference website.
