Queensland peak body for Paralympic sports, Sporting Wheelies, is calling on CEOs across the state to gear up and put their best wheels forward for the inaugural CEO Wheelie Challenge.
The state-wide initiative, to be held on July 29, aims to raise awareness of the difficulties those living with a disability and limited mobility face, particularity in the workplace, and is calling on CEOs and business leaders to take up the challenge of experiencing a work day in a wheelchair.
It is being supported by former tennis Paralympian, Michael Dobbie, who will share his insights and tips to the CEOs taking up the challenge. Dobbie has recruited PWS CEO Tom Seymour who will challenge fellow CEOs including Brisbane Lions executive general manager Rachel Condos-Fields, MBS Risk Solutions CEO Andrew Godden, Brisbane Committee CEO Barton Green and former Origin manager Steven Page.
Not only will industry leaders gain a greater insight into the challenges people with limited mobility experience, it will also raise funds to bring Para Sports and rehabilitation therapy to Queenslanders living with a disability.
