Deaf Children Australia has launched its first art competition relating to the theme, ‘This is Me’ in two categories, Visual and Digital Art. The competition has two age ranges, 12-17 years and 18-23 years, for those who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
Visual art submissions comprise artworks that need to be mailed or delivered in the following finished formats: sketches, paintings, photography, street art, collage, sculpture or pottery. Digital Art submissions can be sent online or via email in the following: video art, graphic novels, animation, illustration, scanned images or photos.
The winner in each category can win $1,000 and $500 for the runner-up. The winner of the People’s Choice Award receives $500.
Submission close on October 18, 2021.
