Vision Australia Radio has made history with eight nominations in this year’s Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) Awards.
The nominations include:
- Excellence in Disability Content & Engagement – Vision Australia Radio Network (VARN)
- Best Program: News & Current Affairs – Studio 1
- Best Program: New – Sites, Sounds and Songs
- Excellence in Production – VAR production team
- Excellence in Community Engagement – Vision Australia Radio Network (VARN)
- Outstanding Contribution in Fundraising and Sponsorship – Jason Gipps
- Outstanding Presenter: News & Current Affairs – Peter Greco, Various
- Best Program: Talks – Happy Pants
Vision Australia said the nominations, “showcase the incredible talent and dedication of our teams, volunteers, and presenters who work tirelessly to deliver quality, inclusive content”.
“The record number of nominations for Vision Australia Radio in this year’s CBAA Awards is a testament to the incredibly dedicated volunteers and staff who take immense pride in delivering entertaining and engaging content each week for our community of interest,” Vision Australia Radio audio services manager Conrad Browne said.
“The diversity of the categories we’ve been acknowledged in also highlights the effort and skills that our team bring as individuals and as a collective in ensuring we consistently deliver quality programs and podcasts for the blind, low vision and print disability communities across Australia.”
Winners will be announced at the CBAA Conference from October 17-19 on the Gold Coast.
