NZ Brain Injury Conference

Concussion in sport and TBI injuries will be a key focus at the inaugural Traumatic Brain Injury conference in Christchurch, New Zealand.  

The conference will provide guidance on evidence based best practice for the diagnosis, care and ongoing assessment of concussion in sport. 

Speakers include Dr Stephen Kara, who assisted in the preparation of the National Concussion Guidelines introduced last year; former All Black Steve Devine will talk about his personal experiences following a series of concussions; Lisa Kingi, New Zealand Rugby Federation CEO will present on how the Federation champions the safety of all players in the game, and for a practical point of view, Annette Swale will detail the testing and evaluation of rugby headgear.
