The Home and Community Care (HACC) program in Victoria has been delivered an extra $21.3 million in funding. Younger people with disability and their carers together with older people will benefit from the funding boost. It is part of a $681 million joint investment with the Victorian Government to assist people to live independently at home.
There are around 440 HACC agencies across the state providing support to more than 300,000 older Victorians, younger people and their carers. HACC provides practical assistance including domestic help, personal care, property maintenance, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and respite.
