S. J. Norman, one of Australia’s most intriguing creative forces will be the opening keynote speaker at next month’s Arts Activated 2021 conference.
This leading forum for making arts, culture and events more accessible and inclusive for arts practitioners and audiences with disability will be held in Sydney + online on August 9, 16 and 23.
The final program for the conference has also been announced and includes 20 sessions, workshops and events for artists, industry workers, researchers and policymakers.

In related news, @Mable, a website for people with disability to connect with people providing support, will help the careers of five artists for this year’s AccessibleArts and Bundanon Trust Artist-In-Residence program. Mable is providing the artists with a 7-day residency at the Bundanon cultural estate in Southern NSW where they will create artworks, develop their professional practice and forge new creative collaborations with the other artists.
