Families of children with disability can continue to access support and advice until the NDIS reaches full scheme. The government will continue to fund the education and information components of the Helping Children with Autism and Better Start for Children with Disability programs for the next two years. It offers early intervention services for children with disability aged 0-7 years with up to $12,000 per child.
“The programs have already helped more than 65,000 children with disability, their families and carers to access the services they need,” Assistant Minister for Disability Services, Jane Prentice said.
