The annual Gold Coast Volunteer Award nominations are now open, that gives thousands of volunteers the opportunity to be acknowledged and celebrated.
The awards span six categories that recognise Not-For-Profit organisations, Schools with Student Volunteering Programs, companies participating in Corporate Volunteering Programs, as well as Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives that have been implemented in a workplace or organisation.
“Each year Volunteering Gold Coast is completely blown away by the exemplary level of entries for the awards,” CEO Brad Cooper said. “We encourage everybody to be a part of this and to celebrate together on December 1, 2023, at The Star.”
Nominations can be for individuals, organisations, schools, higher education, faith-based groups, community groups, corporate entities, and Not-For-Profits. Also, someone who has made a difference, a school with an incredible volunteer program, or an employee in an organisation that gives their staff time to volunteer, and how that impacts the business.
With the increase in Corporate Social Responsibility in particular, VGC has introduced a new category – Gold Coast Corporate Volunteering Program of the Year.
Categories include Gold Coast Volunteer of the Year; Gold Coast Youth Volunteer of the Year; Robina Town Centre Community Project & Organisation of the Year; Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year; Gold Coast Corporate Volunteering Program of the Year and Gold Coast Student Volunteer Program of the Year. Entries close October 6, 2023.
