The Royal Rehab centre at Ryde in Sydney had its official opening on February 19. This state-of-the-art facility with its network of rehabilitation and disability services and an on-campus college is the biggest rehab centre in Australia. It can accommodate up to 200 patients with a 24-bed private hospital on the site in addition to outdoor sporting facilities all spread over three acres. There is also a community hall, childcare centre and café.
The centre was opened by its patron, the Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir who was joined by chairman, Clive Austin, to unveil the commemorative plaque.
