If you are in Melbourne on Sunday April 2, you have the opportunity to see the Academy Award winning short film, An Irish Goodbye. The film is about a young man with Down syndrome and his estranged brother who discover their late mother’s unfulfilled bucket list and what happens when a parent dies.
Following the screening will be conversations with the lead actor and young people with Down syndrome about their acting and working lives.
Ticket sales will be donated to the Inclusion Foundation that supports young people with Down syndrome to prepare for the workforce.
The film screens from 4-5.30pm at the ACMI Cinemas, Federation Square, Swanston & Flinders Street. Tickets are $21 each.
