Noosa based Sunshine Butterflies Disability Support Service and charity has partnered with local company John Madill Toyota to launch their newest Supported Employment initiative, Indoor Plant Hire.
Supported Employment gives people with disability the opportunity to work in the local community. Members work in gardening, maintenance and lawn care and now in the charity’s newest endeavour, Indoor Plant Hire.
The partnership with John Madill Toyota coincided with the car firm celebrating National Tree Day with a school planting event at Noosaville State School.
Supported Employment members joined horticulturist Damien Walsh and Sunshine Butterflies staff to transport and set up the plants in the car showroom and reception area.
“The team at John Madill Toyota loved the atmosphere these new plants created in their space and our Supported Employment team will be tending to these plants over the next month,” Walsh said.
